C.
C. Saha Limited was established in the year 1933 by Mr.
C.C.Saha who was a pioneer in his field. The original business
was in Radios, Gramophone Records, and other Electrical Durables.
In 1954, Mr. Saha introduced hearing aid as a commercial venture,
trading and dispensing hearing aids from his two centres in
the Dharmotalla Area.

Causes
of Hearing Loss :
It can happen at any age and can be due to :
1.
Natural ageing process
2. Exposure to loud or constant noise e.g. loud music,
noise fron motorised tools and gun shots.
3. Illness or complication at birth.
4. Heridity / congenital
5. Toxic medication.
6. Ear infection
7. Trauma
8. Injury
9. Tumour |
Symptoms
of Hearing Loss :
1.
Not being able to understand others speech, people seem
to be mumbling when they are speaking.
2. Misinterpreting what others say.
3. Loss of confidence.
4. Difficulty in understanding conversation in group
settings.
5. Asking others to repeat themselves.
6. Difficulty in hearing television, radio and /or telephone.
7. Difficulty in hearing at public gatherings such as
concert hall or theatre where sound sources are far
away.

Noise
Induced Hearing Loss :
1.
Continued exposure to noise (disco, gunshot, machinery,
loud sound, etc.) can cause headaches, fatigue and elevated
blood pressure.
2. When notice exposure is prolonged and repeated, damage
then occurs to the ears and this may cause permanent
hearing loss.
3. Hearing loss normally occurs slowly, painless, unnoticed
and may accumulate over the years. |

Danger
Signals :
1.
Ringing in the ears during or after noise exposure.
2. Inability to carry on a normal conversation with
excessive background noise.
3. Speech of others sounding muffled or unclear.
Precautions
:
1.
Avoid noise whenever possible.
2. Use personal hearing protection (e.g. earplugs, ear
muffs).
3. Reduce the amount of time you are exposed to the
noise.
4. Reduce the noise at the source.
5. Consult your doctor if you are having problems with
your ears or hearing.
