In 1954, Mr. Saha introduced hearing aid as a commercial venture, trading and dispensing hearing aids from his two centres in the Dharmotalla Area. |

There has been significant additions on the audiological clinic of CCSL. The acquisition of a Real Ear Measurement Instrument, UNITY SD 110 and the Hearing Aid Analyzer, UNITY SD 120 both very sophisticated instruments one to ascertain the condition of the hearing of patient without the help of an audiometer and the Hearing Aid Analyzer which can accurately test any hearing aid, analyzing its working in every detail. Besides these instruments the Clinic is at present a proud owner of a Laboratory which can be used to make Customised Hearing Aids like ITE (In The Ear), ITC (In The Canal) and CIC (Completely In the Canal). This is the first of its kind in the Eastern India making it possible to cater to the needs of patients who live in Assam, Bangladesh or some other place abroad who cannot wait for a week to get Customised Hearing Aids from Mumbai or Bangalore. |
